Strong Barbadian presence at CAREBACO 2016

Barbados, through the Barbados Badminton Association, has a strong presence at the 2016 Caribbean Badminton Championships (CAREBACO).
The team comprises of 22 juniors, 6 seniors and 4 officials and are due to participate in all categories of the annual Championships.
This year’s meet in Vondel Laan, Aruba, consists of the Under 19 International (August 18-21), Team Juniors and Seniors (August 22-24), the Junior games (August 24-25) and the Senior International (August 25-28).
The team is managed by Rhonda Scantlebury. The Juniors are coached by Shakeira Waithe and Caroline Vaughn; Kelvin Mallett is the coach for the seniors.
“We have high expectations of our players. They have prepared well and we thank the Association, parents, sponsors and our hosts in Aruba for the support received,” said Waithe on behalf of the coaches.
