Michael Jackson cruises on through to next round

Road Tennis World Champion Julian ‘Michael Jackson’ White left no doubt that he is still in good form as he stormed over Brandon Arrendell to open his account in the Massy United Insurance Clash Of the Titans Road Tennis tournament.

The tournament which is being held at the Dover Hard Courts saw White record an easy 21-10, 21-11 victory to advance in the next round.

Also in winners row was the Mast Champion Adrian ‘Dan’ Skeete who traded points initially with John Chandler before moving away to win 21-15, 21-12 .

Young and talented Darius ‘Barracus’ Gaskin had to fight hard for his victory over Jamaar Bispham. Bispham pushed Gaskin to three games after winning the second game.

But Gaskin who is one of a set of promising young players touted to take over the top reigns of road tennis eventually got home winning 21-16, 19-21, 21-14.

Ryan Hall defeated Julian Quimby 21-19, 21-15, while Ezekiel Ward defeated Wayne Grazette 21-12, 21-11 and Abbie Clarke ended Gregory Gill’s hopes with a 21-13, 23-21 victory.(CG)
