All goes well for All Saints

Natalia White was the picture of perfection yesterday as she was flawless at the ring to help All Saints Primary to two wins when the Pine Hill National Sports Council Primary Schools Netball Competition continued yesterday. With games being played at Speightstown in the Sonya Knight Zone, White turned in two solid performances against A Dacosta Edwards and St. Alban’s at Goal Shoot, seeing her team as the only one with two wins on the day.

In the day’s first game, White scored both of her shots while her Goal Attack Elicia Phillips got one of three shots to drop. A Dacosta Edwards trailed two-nil at the end of the first half but got a consolation in the second as Faith Hinkson scored one of two. Against St. Alban’s, All Saints led three-one and six-two at the halves. This time, White scored all three of her shots, while Phillips scored the other three points from four shots. For St. Alban’s, Goal Attack Leann Leacock scored two of four.

St. Alban’s did not leave the venue empty-handed as they won their other game against St. Lucy Primary with a four-one result. Leacock shot 100 per cent this time around, scoring both of her shots. Her Goal Shoot, Jamika Sandiford shot two from three as St. Alban’s led three-one at the half. St. Lucy’s lone goal came from Shalon Henry who had two shots in the Goal Attack bib.

Gordon Greenidge had the biggest win on the day, beating Half Moon Fort seven goals to one. Ashonite Miller (GS) scored the consolation from a single shot in the first half, while Gordon Greenidge ended the period with three. Goal Attack Akeera Harewood (2 from 5) and Goal Shoot Shadae Ellis (5 from 10) added another four in the second half to bring up the win.

The competition continues today with games at King George V Park.
