NUPW to benefit from Senior Advisory Group for Excellence

The National Union of Public Workers (NUPW) has welcomed the establishment of a Senior Advisory Group for Excellence (SAGE) within its ranks.

The information came recently from NUPW President Kimberly Agard and its General Secretary Wayne Walrond, at the handing over of a draft document by SAGE,  titled “Our Union on de rise again”.

The two top NUPW officials, in accepting copies of the document, expressed appreciation to SAGE for coming aboard at this time, to lend support to the NUPW's effort on behalf of public workers.

President Agard noted, “It was comforting to see that based on the expertise within SAGE and the experience and the vision within the Executive, that the two groups appear to be in sync with the way forward for the organization”.

General Secretary Wayne Walrond embraced the formation of the group, stating that it was timely, as the Union could really benefit from the wealth of knowledge and experience that the group brings to the table in advancing the betterment and effective functioning of the Union.

SAGE includes former general secretaries and presidents, as well as honorary secretaries and other members who will share their knowledge and experience for the benefit of the NUPW and labour as a whole.
