Lynch promoted to Superintendent of Police, Deputy Director of Musicu

Assistant Superintendent of Police Andrew Lynch, of the Royal Barbados Police Force Band, was issued with his letter of appointment to the rank of Superintendent of Police and Deputy Director of Music by the Commissioner of Police (ag) Tyrone Griffith during an official ceremony hosted at Police Headquarters on Tuesday September 12, 2017.

Superintendent Lynch enlisted in the Band of the Royal Barbados Police Force on July 1, 1977. He was promoted to Police Constable on November 2, 1981, and to Sergeant on December 1, 1996. He was in charge of Band Apprentice Training from June 2004 to 2008 and was promoted to the rank of Station Sergeant in March 2008. Subsequently he started the Junior Dance Band and he acted as Inspector from January 2012 to June 2014. Lynch received a double promotion to the rank of Assistant Director of Music on January 1, 2015 and acted as Superintendent and Deputy Director of Music from October 1, 2016 until his most recent promotion to said rank on September 12, 2017.
