Kirk Brown is New BFPA Brand Champion

The energised and passionate entertainer Kirk Brown is the new Brand Champion for the Barbados Family Planning Association (BFPA).

This announcement was made by Acting Executive Director of BFPA, Anderson Langdon during a press conference on Thursday. In the presence of BFPA staff, youth advocates and media, Langdon explained that the entertainer understands what it is to be a positive impact in Barbadian society.

In his remarks, Brown said the BFPA team has embraced him and he has worked with a number of charities but behind the scenes.

“I am pleased to be more – not really necessarily – on the frontline because it is all for one common cause. I see it as providing very essential services and

I really want to work to help sensitise the public more to what BFPA does. I think it is one of those associations which is taken for granted,” said Brown.

He added that working with the BFPA Board and the team, people do not realise how many thousands of persons are impacted by the operation or lack of operation of the BFPA.

The new Brand Champion said that he will be helping with the building restoration, fundraising and community activities to promote the services of BFPA.
