Guardian celebrates the golden 50

Shelley Miller, Integrated Marketing Communications Officer of Guardian Group highlighted, “It is an honour for us to be a part of this initiative as Barbados celebrates the golden 50.

She was speaking yesterday at the arrival of the Broken Trident at Guardian General Insurance Limited “Enfield House”, Upper Collymore Rock, St. Michael.

Miller expressed, “Celebrating 50 years of independence is a significant milestone and Guardian Group is happy that we have been a part of the economic landscape of Barbados for over 30 years.  Through, hosting the Broken Trident at our location, we are giving our clients an opportunity to write their names on history’s page by making their commitment in the I Pledge book.
“As our company continues to be one of the leading insurance providers in the local market, collectively we pledge our commitment to use our services to strengthen the communities we serve and by extension our Nation as a whole.”

According to her,  “At Guardian Group, we established an internal 50th anniversary planning committee, to discuss, plan and execute a series of initiatives which will serve to highlight Guardian Group’s commitment to Barbados, the communities we serve and show how we are celebrating the golden 50.”

The initiatives fell in line with the overall thrust of the 50th anniversary celebrations as articulated by the 50th anniversary Independence Secretariat, on showcasing ‘Pride & Industry’  which are the important tenets on which our country is built.  “We have various initiatives leading up to the climax of Independence activities in November.    Staff and Agents have been encouraged to embrace and be a part of these initiatives, as well as to communicate with the committee on any other innovative ideas that can possibly be incorporated into the celebrations.”

Miller stated some of the events were geared to improving Barbados such as a beach cleanup, random acts of kindness and many more. In November, Guardian will be getting back to their roots with a Bajan Breakfast for staff and agents. Customers will not be left out and can look forward to an appreciation day. (NB)
