Embracing digital mindset

Scotiabank has introduced new digital technologies in response to customers’ demands.

The bank is now investing more than CAD$3 billion (Bds$5.5 billion) in technology annually, and investing over 10% of its revenues into technology.

“Today, customer expectations are driving fast technological changes. Consumers are demanding easy, global and seamless mobile experiences. Banking is adapting to these demands,” Manager of Premium Relationship Banking at Scotiabank, Carla Boyce, assured clients gathered for the Premium Banking A-Class Showcase at Simpson Motors – Mercedes Showroom last night.

Scotiabank’s digital thrust has seen the introduction of the Digital Branch at Warrens, Scotiabank Alerts; and Next Generation ATMs – an upgrade of Smart ATMs to Intelligent Deposit Machines (IDMs).

According to the Manager, these improvements will benefit customers and help them save time and money.

“At Scotiabank, we are very pleased to be able to introduce these advancements, helping you, our customers, become better off and you can expect other enhancements to services over the next 18 months,” she revealed.

Premium Banking

Clients receive an exclusive banking experience, combining personalised advice and solutions with an enhanced level of service.

Premium Banking clients have a dedicated Premium Relationship Officer (PRO), who will provide personalised advice and solutions tailored to the client’s individual needs; the ability to simply skip the line in the banking halls and head straight to the Premium Banking Centres; receive Preferred Products that are especially designed with the client in mind; as well as have access to more than 600 Priority Pass airport lounges or 850 Lounge Key lounges around the world.

“At Scotiabank, we are focused on your success,” Boyce emphasised.

“I like to say we are a local bank with international connections. We have been your financial partner in Barbados since 1956 and over those years, your thrust and confidence has driven us to always think of ways to serve you better… Premium Banking is a natural extension of this commitment to excellence.”

During the event, clients were given an exclusive look at the new offerings from Simpson Motors and Mercedes.

“Also like Scotiabank, our brand is fast developing new and revolutionary technology to satisfy the needs of a younger, more connected and fast-paced customer,” said Sales Manager at Simpson Motors Ltd., Penny Johnson, revealing the all-new stylish Mercedes-Benz A-Class model, which is loaded with high-tech features.
