CCTV for Oistins

The Royal Barbados Police Force (RBPF) continues to receive assistance in its efforts to beef-up security on the south coast.

Last Thursday, The Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association (BHTA) and The Tourism Development Corporation (TDC) again partnered with the Force by way of a donation to help facilitate the installation of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras in the Oistins, Christ Church area.

During the presentation ceremony at Police Headquarters, Roebuck Street, St. Michael both Senator Rudy Grant the Chief Executive Officer of the BHTA and Steve Austin, Chairman of the BHTA pledged the continued support of their organisation in lending assistance to the Force. Executive Officer representing the Tourism Development Corporation, Jacqueline Gill also reiterated her organisation’s support to the initiative.

Commissioner of Police (Ag.) Erwin Boyce accepted the donation on behalf of the RBPF thanking both organisations for their continued support. He also gave the assurance that the Force would continue to work with all of its partners to ensure that Barbados remained a safe and stable environment for all to enjoy.
