At first sight, last week’s decision by the US President to abrogate the hard-won 2015 UN Security Council deal on nuclear weapons with Iran may seem to have little bearing on the Caribbean.
Perhaps because they are so easily traded, we take for granted the power of our words. Words build entire nations. They can also tear them down.
It is commendable that the nation of Barbados has moved to create a “CAP system” to provide early warning signals for citizens, ahead of impending disaster.
We are aware that in the school system, there is much on the curriculum that has to be covered in three terms.
In 14 days Barbadians will go to the polls to decide who will have the responsibility to run the affairs of this country for the next five years.
