Bajans in NY donate laptops to CCB

CHILDREN in State care will benefit from a donation of lap- tops from Barbadians living in New York City.
Cricket administrator and ed- ucator Jeff Broomes formally handed over the nine devices last Thursday to Director of the Child Care Board (CCB) RoseAnn Richards on behalf of his friends Lawrence and Stephen Wilson.
Mr. Broomes revealed that during a recent trip to New York for the launch of his new book “The West Indies Cricket Journey And Its Barbadian Influence” he acquired the laptops for underprivileged children.
He further disclosed, “They (Lawrence and Stephen) are committed to giving even more assistance as needed, even monthly”.
The Child Care Board Director expressed appreciation to the donors for the generous donation of laptops for the children, which are needed now, more than ever.
