FIFTEEN YEAR-OLD Zander Venezia continues to ride high on the waves as he advanced to yet another round in the 2016 Vissla ISA World Junior Championships yesterday in Portugal.

He took to the waves in the second last heat of the round and placed second with a 4.27 on his first ride and 3.73 points to finish with a total 8 points, which was just enough to narrowly advance ahead of Portugal's Joao Vidal, who placed third with a total of 7.17 points.

Brazil's Sammy Pupo took first place with a 14 point total.

Today, Barbados Olivia Warden competes in Round 3 of the Girls’ Under-16 at 9.40 a.m Azores time; and Venezia in Round 4 of the Boys’ Under-16 at 10.40 a.m.
