Weymouth Wales get the go ahead

The 2020 Coca Cola Premier League just got a lot more interesting and there has been a change in the guard. After a new look Paradise held the reins for the first few weeks of the season, Weymouth Wales have stepped to the front after an exciting round of games on Sunday.

With the teams only separated by goal difference coming into the weekend, Wales hold the edge after snapping up a massive 5-0 win in the nightcap game. Taking on Deacons at the Wildey Turf, last year’s Champions Cup and Capelli Cup winners were relentless with Romario Harewood (7th) and Ray Snagg (24th) seeing them to a two-goal lead heading into the break.

Going the other way, it was more of the same as Deacons could do very little to keep them at bay. Ramar Millar added the third in the 67th while Tyrelle Demondunca drove two final nails in the coffin with goals in the 77th and 91st.

Paradise did not let Wales slip away as they have the same 10 points in four games and the same goal difference of seven. They got their points from a close encounter against Ellerton. With a goal each coming on either side of the interval, Paradise frustrated the St. George lads at every turn. Armando Lashley opened the scoring for Paradise in the 15th with their new talisman, Jabarry Chandler adding the second in the 59th to bring up the 2-0 result.

The other game on the night saw defending champions Barbados Defence Force Sports Programme and St. Andrew Lions playing to a goalless draw.
