In accepting the sponsorship commitment, Arthur said, “Since 2014, Sandals has been there for Barbados whenever major sporting events across the world occur, beginning with their sponsorship of the FIFA World Cup and today with the Rio Olympics and more. The Olympics are the pinnacle of sporting disciplines as the world’s best gather on the same stage to compete. We are pleased to have them work with us to bring this spectacle to Barbados.”

Further, the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. – organisers of the Sir Garry Sobers Cricket Tournament, under the guidance of its Business Development Officer for Sports Devon Chase, have also welcomed the Sandals backing for 2016.
