Sagicor holds Golf Scramble for brokers, associates

Major players in the insurance industry came together for a day of fun and social interaction during the second annual Sagicor Golf Scramble at the Sandy Lane Country Club, St. James.

 

Brokers and business associates joined a number of executives of the Sagicor group on the greens and fairways during the fun-filled day recently at the upscale club.

 

President and CEO of Sagicor General Insurance, David Alleyne said the event was held to express gratitude to brokers and business associates for their commitment to quality service delivery and their confidence in Sagicor’s products and services.

 

For the scramble, accomplished players were selected as leaders of four-member teams for the event and were supported by others, not so skilled.

 

Those being exposed to the sport of golf for the first time were given pointers on playing strokes, by staff of the golf course, and the scramble format created an element of fun while also underscoring how sport can truly mimic real-life situations.

 

The significance of combining skills through team-work allowed players to solve the challenges of getting the ball into the hole utilising the strengths of each team member and generated much laughter and light moments on the course.

 

Once back at the club house, Executives of Sagicor Life and Sagicor General thanked the brokers and business associates for accepting invitations to be part of the fun-filled event and used the occasion to thank them for their support over the past year in a still challenging business environment.

 

“This is the second year that we hosted the Sagicor Scramble and based on all the happy faces it’s safe to say that everyone enjoyed themselves. It is important for us to nurture the good relationships that we have built over the years, through both formal and informal events such as this,” said Edward Clarke, Chief Operating Officer Sagicor Life and General Manager Barbados.
