Mount Gay refurbishes Charlie Griffith Sports Centre
The staff of the Mount Gay Distillers and their offices spent the day outdoors on Friday as they all picked up tools to help in the Refurbishment of the Charlie Griffith Sports Centre, Lowlands, St. Lucy.
Griffith was one of the feared West Indian fast bowlers and took 94 wickets in 28 Test matches.
Shuttled to the location in St. Lucy in the morning the staff spent the day painting, cutting the grass, cleaning up and affixing seats so that the facility would be once again ready for use.
In the evening they were slated to
be visited by Minister in the Ministry
of Agriculture and Food Security
and MP for St. Lucy, the Hon. Peter Phillips.
