Jason Holder to lead Barbados Pride in CG Insurance Super50 Cup

West Indies Test captain and leading all-rounder Jason Holder will lead the Barbados Pride in the Cricket West Indies (CWI) CG Insurance Super50 Cup in Antigua & Barbuda from February 7 to 27.

The Pride has selected a strong team on paper which includes a number of West Indies players, who would have missed some or all of the regional competition had they decided to tour Bangladesh.

Joining Holder from the West Indies team are Shai Hope, Roston Chase and Shamarh Brooks. Keon Harding, who was on the touring West Indies squad to England, has also been named to the team.

Included is also Chemar Holder who is in Bangladesh currently.

Hope, who has been leading the runs in the trials, has shown his form with the bat is still there after the West Indies opted to leave him home last year due to a run of poor batting form in Test matches.

The list of experienced players on the team also includes Jonathan Carter, Ashley Nurse, Miguel Cummins and Kyle Hope.

Shane Dowrich has not been named to the side, though he has not travelled with the West Indies to Bangladesh.

Other Barbados players who are currently on West Indies duties and are not named to the team are Kraigg Brathwaite, Kyle Mayers, Shayne Moseley, Kemar Roach, Raymon Reifer, and Jomel Warrican.
