Hamilton wows at Festival of Speed

The Barbados Festival of Speed and Lewis Hamilton were a hit yesterday at the Bushy Park Racing Circuit. 

In the space of about two hours, Hamilton was seen no less than three times, twice on the track and once signing countless autographs for the hundreds of fans that made the journey to the Bushy Park facility.
 
The echo of the F1 Petronas Mercedes sent chills down the spines of many fans and Hamilton gave a demonstration of what the car was capable of around the circuit. He also gave an interview on the track in which he described the car as well as his love for the island. 
 
This after a night of dinner with Lewis Hamilton which also saw him giving an interview in which he had high praise for his father who guided him to where he was today. He offered some of the young karters of Barbados advice which was to stay in school and do well in your studies and never give up.
 
During the night there was an auction which was in aid of the Karting Scholarship and one of the prizes was a ride with Hamilton in a SR3 Radical which went for $40 000. 
 
A SR3 Radical was also auctioned and it went for over $130 000.
