WIBISCO giving back

Commercial Manager for WIBISCO, Diane Payne, says “this event is held to give back to many Barbadians in a tangible way, especially for our 50th Anniversary of Independence”.
Speaking at the event “WIBISCO breakfast in Bridgetown” held in the National Heroes Square last week, she said, “Breakfast is a very important start to the day and WIBISCO crackers and cookies are part of the Bajan Traditional breakfast, so we wanted to make sure we give back to Barbadians this morning.”
“We had this event last year for our National Biscuit week which was during our birthday on October 12, but this time we delayed it a little so it’s closer to the Independence celebrations. We are happy to have two long-standing Bajan companies – Pinehill Dairy and Farmer’s Choice – on board with us,” she added.
WIBISCO launched their “Tea Time Blue Vanilla” in August to start their celebrations for the 50th Anniversary of Independence; this will run until the end of November. She noted,“We will continue our celebrations by welcoming all Bajans every weekend, coming back for Independence or tourists, to sample Tea Time Blue Vanilla, Shirley biscuits and lots of other products from WIBISCO at  both the airport and seaport.”
Payne said she is proud of the outcome from ‘WIBSCO breakfast in Bridgetown’ “The response has been very good. The public passed through and they were very appreciative. They are happy Barbados and WIBSCO have been able to celebrate this way.”
WIBISCO continues to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Independence throughout the month of November.
