TRANSFORM TO STAY RELEVANT

Caribbean businesses need to do what is necessary to be relevant in this dynamic market, especially in an environment with economic challenges. This was the suggestion made by Keith Rowley, Senior General Manager – Sales Operations for the Yello Media Group.

Rowley, while speaking at the Yello Digital Conference “Digital Marketing Innovation: Ready for Tomorrow”, acknowledged that, “The islands in the Caribbean are having challenges economically and customers need every advantage to put themselves out there and this conference was geared towards that, making businesses aware of the opportunities that are out there to help them develop their business. I believe after the conference that customers will walk away in a better position to make their business successful. We are trying to fill that void and educate customers that you need to take a serious look at your business and look at what your customers are calling for and we have positioned ourselves as an organisation to help them grow their business.”

The Senior General Manager also identified Yello’s transformation into a more customer-centric organisation.

According to him, “The transformation of Yellow Pages to Yello symbolises the inward and outward evolution of our company from more than just a directory business to a full service media entity. Not only did we rebrand our aesthetics, we expanded our product expertise and portfolio to offer a wider range of digital solutions, ranging from search engine marketing, website development, social media management, online videos, TV advertising and more.”

He recounted, “In the journey of transformation, we recognise we also have to listen to what our customers are calling for and we transformed our organisation to more than just a print organisation. We also take our social responsibility very seriously in all of the markets that we operate and we are quite proud of that.

“As the only premier Google partner in the region and recognised by Google as one of the top five companies in Latin America and the Caribbean, and with our expertise in Mobile Marketing, we are committed to providing the best digital experience commensurate with world-class standards.”

Rowley added, “This year’s conference promises to awake your senses to the digital platforms, solutions, best practices and goal standards available to assist our customers and potential customers in making the right marketing decisions to elevate their brands’ online presence. The conference is timely because it is letting our customers and potential customers to know what we are about. We have distinguished speakers to provide that type of knowledge to help them grow their business.” (NB)
