Talks continue

Talks between the Ministry of Education and teachers and staff of the Lawrence T. Gay Primary School continued in earnest yesterday, as the two groups continue to deliberate suggestions and possible solutions to help end the reoccurring environmental issues the school has been facing.

The meeting, which was held at the Ministry of Education offices in Bridgetown, began at minutes to 2 p.m. and lasted just over two hours, with members of the Ministry and the school having frank talks amongst each other, with union representatives also being present for the deliberations.

At the close of the talks, Vice President of the Barbados Union of Teachers (BUT), Richmark Cave, confirmed the Ministry was being supportive of the staff at the school, as all stakeholders were determined to iron out possible solutions to the issues at the earliest possible time.
