Some finalists and representatives of the finalists taking part in the upcoming Party Monarch competition after they drew the positions determining their order of appearance at Bushy Park on July 24.

Sweet Soca, Party Monarch finalists draw their positions

 

Biggie Irie and Lead Pipe & Saddis will be the first to hit the stage during the upcoming Sweet Soca competition and Party Monarch contest respectively.

 

They were among the finalists who drew their order of appearance yesterday during the live airing of Festival Stage at the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation. Prior to this, some of the finalists took part in the MQI/98.1 the One Soca Royale Motorcade, which ended at the Pine, St. Michael location.

The finalists have now begun preparations for what is anticipated to be a heated battle on the Soca Royale stage at Bushy Park on July 24. This year’s contenders in the Sweet Soca contestwill be seeking to dethrone reigning monarch, Edwin Yearwood while the Party Monarch king, Peter Ram, will be challenged for his crown.

 

For the Sweet Soca competition, the running order will be: position one Biggie Irie, position two Adrian Clarke, position three Peter Ram, position four Mistah Dale, position five Nikita, position six Joaquin, position seven Edwin Yearwood, position eight Mikey, and Marvay will be taking to the stage at position nine. 

 

Meanwhile for the Party Monarch competition, the order of appearance will be: the duo Lead Pipe & Saddis at position one, at position two will be Peter Ram, position three Edwin Yearwood, position four Mistah Dale, position five IWeb, position six Blood, position seven Lil Rick, position nine TC and Mikey will be appearing at position nine.

 

The reserve in the Sweet Soca contest is Yani Hooper while the reserve for the Party Monarch competition is King Bubba. (MG)
