AAA 5 Diamond Status resort almost US$2 million ahead in revenue already

Sandy Lane’s General Manager, Randall Wilkie says the forecast for the first quarter of this year “looks promising” for the hotel.

He made this disclosure while revealing that the AAA 5 Diamond Status resort is “already almost US$2 million ahead in revenue.”

“Despite the many external challenges we face in this region and global competition, our future for the first quarter of 2018 looks promising. We are already almost US$2 million dollars ahead in revenue. Thanks to our ongoing digital marketing efforts and new Sales Representative Agency in the USA, we have seen positive growth in this important source market.”

Wilkie addressed the annual Employee Recognition and Award Anniversary Celebrations on Friday night, which was held under the theme, “The Legacy Continues”.

During this gala awards dinner, 180 Champions and Coaches who showed excellence in attendance for 2017 were celebrated. Awards were also presented to 75 long-service employees who have worked ten to 30 years at the hotel. The Peoples’ Champion Winners and The Centre Court Winner, as well as the Outfield of the Year, Star of the Year and the Coach of the Year awardees, were additionally the toast of the evening.

The General Manager congratulated all awardees and commended Sandy Lane’s staff for the outstanding job they do.
“Your commitment to excellence has helped us to maintain our AAA 5 Diamond Status for yet another year and resulted in Sandy Lane receiving for the third consecutive year, the Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Award, receiving an outstanding score of 94%! Sandy Lane excelled to the top of the list ranking number one out of the 13 prestigious global brands rated by Forbes Travel Guide.”

Wilkie stated that going forward there will be a continued emphasis on growth at the luxury west coast resort.

“As we started in the latter of 2017, we will continue to focus on management development, implement cross training within each department and reassess and execute the action plans generated from our roundtable sessions.”
