Michael Goddard, author of ‘I’ve Been Born Again’ as he delivered a few remarks at the book launch.

Reviews deem book: Great contribution to Christian literature

Michael Goddard’s recently published book, “I’ve Just Been Born Again”, was described by many as a tremendous contribution to Christian literature.

This general proclamation was made during the book launch, which took place at Solidarity House Saturday evening. Dwayne Squires, a member of the People’s Cathedral Church, who was tasked with the job of reading a few reviews, highlighted that many persons reported that the book was one to “not simply be read – but used.”

Meanwhile, in his review, Reverend Haynesley Griffith, Chief Executive Officer of Family Heartbeat International remarked that the book was one that targeted new and developing Christians as there was a challenge
for each group to get a stronger grasp on the scriptures for their own personal growth. He said that he believed this would give them the confidence they needed to declare their faith more often.

“I also see a sensitive, stimulating, subliminal message that seeps through the pages of Goddard’s work causing those who may not be church enthusiasts to quietly, yet seriously, inspect their own spiritual temperature,” he said.

“There’s no question about the conviction with which Goddard writes, in a way that attests to his spiritual foundation, which is firmly founded in his understanding the word of God. There are also examples of his own walk with the Christian faith.”

Griffith noted that there was also a powerful message in the novel as it revealed Goddard’s desire to see Christians moving from being a church-centred person to a Christ-centred individual.

On reading the book, the CEO expressed that it was clear that Goddard devoted “a high percentage of his time”, seeking to support the comments made in his books with scriptures with more than one translation. He believed that this suggested that this revealed that Goddard was passionate about exposing the contents of the Bible to a wide and diverse audience in a simple, but structured form.

“Explore the pages so that you can see for yourself the valuable asset that can help you give perspective to and anchor your spiritual life in a time of uncertainty and confusion as it pertains to the authenticity of the holy scriptures,” he said.
