Providing service with excellence critical

President of the Barbados Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (BARAIFA), Gloria King-Kirton, believes that good quality service is key to the survival of that industry.

“Good quality service is the way forward. As we see it in most service industries today, service is taken for granted… But as financial advisors, it is paramount,” she stated.

Her comments came during BARAIFA’s 43rd anniversary thanksgiving church service, yesterday. The President and several members joined the congregation at Holders Hill Seventh-Day Adventist Church to commence their month of activities.

“This year, we are celebrating our 43rd anniversary and we are proud of our achievements and our founding members who had the foresight and the wisdom to establish such an important institution in our country. We are equally so proud of those who continued the legacy and are building upon it, by expanding the role beyond the traditional areas to provide for more holistic individuals, who recognise the important responsibility  with which they are charged,” she expressed.

Under the theme “Beyond Excellence”, BARAIFA is continuing its pledge to give back to society.

According to King-Kirton “We will be going beyond the call of duty as we continue to provide service with excellence.”

“We continue to participate in community service as we have adopted and contributed to the HIV Food Bank and more recently Jabez House, as we recognise that there is a dire need in this country,” she indicated, also taking the opportunity to call on all Barbadians and citizens to give of themselves – their resources and their knowledge to assist the unfortunate in this country.

“The road ahead is uncertain and with present numerous obstacles and much adversity, however we shall be determined with the help of the Almighty God to look for every opportunity, that such obstacles and adversities may provide and use it for the greater good of ourselves and our fellow citizens. We shall continue to explore the needs of constituents both internally and externally and seek to meet those needs.” (TL)
