People’s Republic of China Embassy officials visit The Barbados Advocate
Sir Anthony Bryan, Publisher and Chairman of the Board of the Advocate Publishers (2000) Inc., received a courtesy call from representatives of the Chinese Embassy in Barbados, at the newspaper’s Fontabelle office yesterday morning.
The two-member delegation of Charge D’Affaires Xi Zou and Director of the Political section and Second Secretary Jin Gao, who were representing the People’s Republic of China’s Ambassador to Barbados, Yan Xiusheng were greeted by Sir Anthony, the proud publisher of The Barbados Advocate and senior management of the media house. The two were taken on a tour of the library, which has publications dating back to 1895, when the paper first was printed.
Following the tour the team engaged in a friendly talk on a variety of issues with Sir Anthony; Executive Director, Samantha Smith; Director, Sherry-Anne Padmore and News Editor, Dorian Bryan.
