Jason Hinkson wins big in Courts promotion

Jason Hinkson is the winner of this year’s Courts Summer Cash In Whirlpool Promotion.

Hinkson won a brand new Mazda 3 from Courts as a result of his Whirlpool washing machine and fridge purchase. Following the prize-giving ceremony, which was held at Courts’ Bridgetown location yesterday morning, Hinkson told media that he was excited to have won the car.

“I knew they were coming because they called, so I was waiting on them. But I wasn’t looking for the car, I thought I won something else. I’ve won little things before, but nothing as big as a car,” he said.

“I plan to use the car to help me get around and get to work.”

The 35-year-old carpenter noted that the car came at the right time because he needed to carry his tools around for work and he used to borrow his brother’s car to get his things to work.

His mother, Sonia Hinkson, also shared his joy as she expressed that he had been wanting a car for quite some time now, and now he finally had one to help him with his job. She explained that because he was a carpenter he usually travelled all over the island, so having a car was the best thing for him.

Hinkson was not the only winner yesterday; many other persons won big prizes as well – as a part of the store card winners – persons who would have spent $20 or more over the summer at one of the participating Courts stores. Winston Clarke took part in this promotion and won Bds$5 000 in cash.

Some persons who would have purchased a Frigidaire appliance, as a part of Courts’ “Frigidaire Frigilicious” promotion also got the chance to win a prize as well. Virginia Oxley won Bds$6 000 in free groceries and Patricia Oliverre got a special birthday surprise as she won Bds$10 000 in cash.

Persons that bought a Samsung TV, 40 inches and over as a part of the “Make Your Best Move” Samsung Galaxy Promotion won a free Samsung S8.
