Gospelfest 2016 launched

Barbados Gospelfest 2016 “Touching Lives, Changing Nations” promises to be another world-class production, featuring top local, regional and international gospel talent.
This year’s production, now in its 24th year, will be held from May 21 to 29.

Word of this came from Producer of the event, Adrian Agard, during the official launch held at Jubilee Gardens, Bridgetown yesterday.

The events for the 2016 Festival will include ICBL’s “Hymnspeak”; Barbados Public Workers’ Co-operative Credit Union’s “Sunset Concert”; Capita Financial Services’ “Laughter and Jazz”; Courts’ “Ultimate Gospel” in association with LIFE 97.5FM and SOL; and FlOW’s “One Awesome Day” in association with LIFE 97.5FM.

“Barbados Gospelfest has been actively engaging the international market for the past few months in association with the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. in an effort to market the Festival as  an event on the international gospel scene,” Agard revealed, while also acknowledging that each event will feature a unique combination of international, regional and local gospel ministers blessed with astounding talent.

Joining Gospelfest for the first time is Sinach out of Nigeria. The award winning song writer and vocalist will be the featured gospel minister for Courts Ultimate Gospel, as well as A’Lethia Sweeting from Bahamas, Anthony Brown and Group Therapy. Also on the Gospelfest stage will be Positive and J Prince from Trinidad, and Barbadian artistes John Yarde, Neesha Woods, Gozzy, Sister Marshall, Promise and many more.

“We believe confidently that the combination of Ministers chosen will see an increase in attendance and support this year, and we covet your prayers that lives are transformed as a result of every word and utterance from the Gospelfest stage this year.” (TL)
