Farewell preparations in progress for state funeral
Preparations for the final farewell to Prime Minister the Right Honorable Professor Owen Arthur are proceeding at rapid pace as the state funeral is set for tomorrow, Friday August 14, 2020.
Earlier this week, a final preparation was held ahead of the funeral at the St. Peter Parish Church. A series of condolence books have been set up for the public to pay their respects.
The body of the late Prime Minister, Professor The Right Honourable Owen Arthur, will lie in state in Parliament Buildings, Trafalgar Street, Bridgetown today, Thursday, August 13, from 10 am to 4 pm.
During this time, mourners will file past the closed casket, and sign the condolence books, which will be available.
