Chum Concert at Holders a hit

The fantastic artists performing at Holders  brought out fans in the hundreds for a music concert featuring Hailee Steinfeld, Shaggy and the four member group DNCE.

This much anticipated concert was in association with Chum 105.1 FM and did not disappoint.

It was a beautiful fusion of two generations of music which connected with the audience in more ways than one.

Hailee Steinfeld was the first to perform and for a new artist she knew how to work the crowd who went wild from her first word.

Despite her short set the young singer treated persons to a wonderful performance with the added umph of her backup dancers. She performed the songs ‘You’re Such A,’ followed by the song  ‘Love Myself’ and ‘Love Yourself’ a song which talks about loving you for you.

Her performance with DNCE on their collaborated song ‘Rock Bottom’ was the perfect end to her performance. One can see why the singer said, “I love this song. It feels so complete, so real.”

The four-member energized group, DNCE with Joe Jonas on lead vocals was the second set of entertainment for the evening.  They treated the crowd to a few of their songs and a cover of songs from different artists over the years. Some of these included Cranking by Soldier Boy, Waterfalls and Scrubs by TLC, old time favorite Kiss by Prince and Get On Up by James Brown finishing their set with the song ‘Cake by the Ocean.’

The awaited and building anticipation of Shaggy’s entrance of the stage was the icing on the cake for many.

He had the crowd from the word ‘Goodnight’ and proceeded to heat up the evening with songs such as Gimme Some, Boombastic and Oh Carolina.

The artiste Raven made  a special appearance and he and Shaggy performed the hit song Angel and Strength of A Woman.

Over the years Shaggy has become a seasoned entertainer, that just a few lines from him is enough to send the crowd wild with no complaints. He kept the crowd going with a few lines every now and then from songs from his various albums but the biggest treat that night was the preview performance he treated persons to of his new single ‘That Love,’ to be released in May 2016.

The evening ended on a high note as Shaggy finished off his performance with a mixture of songs such as; I Need You Love, Hey Sexy Lady and Murder She Wrote. It was an unforgettable evening with  unforgettable music artists.
