Car ownership still possible

Individuals are being encouraged not to give up on their dream of acquiring a vehicle though difficult economic times are being experienced.

This was the message of CIBC First Caribbean Bank Managing Director, Barbados, Donna Wellington who assured that the bank stands willing and able to assist members of the public in seeing their dream become a reality.

She spoke at last Friday’s second CIBC First Caribbean Red CARpet show at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre. The car dealers who were represented and showcased vehicles on the night were Courtesy Garage, Simpson Motors, MQI, Mega Power Limited, Platinum Motors and Nassco. The invited guests watched as new cars were driven onstage. Information was given about the features of these vehicles in addition to special offers and financing options available.

“Our strongest message to you our clients this evening is, therefore, you need not place your aspirations on hold even within a climate of economic uncertainty because we are committed to helping you achieve continued financial success.”

Wellington highlighted the ongoing relationship between the banking sector and the motor services industry. She said this relationship “aimed at driving the industry forward is needed now more than ever.”

She further told the guests about the significance of the Red CARpet show.

“Events such as these demonstrate that we in the financial services industry remain confident in the motor services industry and our economy and in our ability to develop offers and solutions that are tailored specifically to them.”

Also addressing the audience on the night was Managing Director, Retail and Business Banking, Mark St. Hill. He stated last year’s event received an overwhelming response. He also highlighted the importance of partnership between the two sectors.(MG)
