BUSINESS MONDAY: BSE reveals top five performers for first half of 2019

EPPLEY Caribbean Property Fund – Development Fund was the volume leader in terms of shares traded on the Barbados Stock Exchange (BSE) whereas Goddard Enterprises Limited (GEL) was top when it came to value of shares traded in the first half of 2019.

These numbers for the top five performers were highlighted by the BSE in its half-year report.

According to the data, Eppley (Development Fund) traded 5.8 million shares for a value of $1.2 million. This represents an increase from the 110 904 units traded in the same period last year for a value of $16 627.

Eppley Caribbean Property Fund – Value Fund was also active in the review period, trading 5.0 million shares for a value of $2.7 million.

In the meantime, GEL did 835 069 trades for a value of $2.7 million.

FirstCaribbean International Bank (FCIB) and Sagicor Financial Corporation completed the top five performers in the six-month period. FCIB did 620 338 units for a value of $1.7 million and Sagicor 454 242 for a value of $1.1 million, the BSE added.
