UCKC Martial Arts rewards students

The Ursuline Covent Karate Club (UCKC) Martial Arts Club recently held its awards presentation for 2009, this year a total of 17 Karatekas received awards for their outstanding achievement and Dedication during the year.
The recipients were chosen based on three tournaments held in 2009, where points were awarded to those who took part in the Club’s tournaments, additional points were also awarded to the Karateka’s who then placed. Some students were also recognised for their participation and medaling in the
8th International Shotokan Karate Federation (ISKF) Caribbean Championships held in St. Lucia last year.
The recipients are as follows: Juniors – Stuart Holder, Josh Phillips, Alexander Thomas, Joseph Tseu, Tenisha Plowell, Angaly Deodat, Tabu Lall Kissoon, Joshua Walker Alex Ince & Chloe walker.
Adults – Leon Hing, Sisporansa Stanford, Michelle Sambrano, Chris Walker, Melanie Inniss, Simon Walker & Karen Downie.
This form of incentives will continue in 2010 in an effort to reward those for their sterling effort.
