Young karters shine at Bushy Park

CHRISTIAN Hinds completed another hard-fought day by driving off with the day’s group victory in the 310 Premier Class when the Barbados Karting Association Inc. held race day at the Bushy Park Racing Circuit recently.
In a close battle which went down to the wire, Hinds with 88 points managed to edge out second-placed David Evelyn by a mere two points.
Third went to Matthew Noel with 78 points, while Luke St. John was fourth on the day.
The races were run in an anti-clockwise direction.
Another outstanding performance came from Alexander Gill, who swept his group and ended the day with the maximum 100 points in the 270 Sportsman Class.
Second was John Foster with 78, third was Ben Read with 66, fourth was Raphael Russell with 59, Brian Hinds fifth with 63 and Tremaine Forde-Catwell rounded off the group with 42 points.
Returning from an international meet in Jamaica, Orry Hunte was the winner of the Shifter Class as he held off a strong challenge from Sean Maloney who finished with 64 points and Mark Maloney was third.
