Patrons enjoy Crop Over last lap at Ilaro Court


WITH the buzz of activity surrounding the Crop Over season officially drawing to a close on Monday, the movers and shakers of the festival and many specially invited guests had an opportunity to unwind at a reception held at the Prime Ministerís official residence at Ilaro Court on Wednesday night.

After being greeted by Prime Minister David Thompson and his wife Mara at the entrance of the property the guests were wined and dined on the well kept grounds, where they had a chance to mingle and reflect on the Crop Over season and look towards 2010.

The highlight of the evening was the impressive entertainment package which included Pic-o-de-Crop Monarch Red Plastic Bag; Road March Peopleís Monarch winner
Edwin Yearwood; Sweet Soca and Party Monarch, Queen TC; Natahlee; Grynner; Junior Monarch winner (13 to 18 category) Anita Charles (AC); as well as the Eastland All Stars on steel pan and a performance by Dance Nationale Afrique. (JH)
