Esso supports 'Pledge to Drive Safely' initiative

8/1/2010

ESSO Country Manager Cally Boyea has thrown his company's full support behind the 'Pledge to Drive Safely' programme which was officially launched by the Barbados Road Safety Association (BRSA) on Thursday.

He said that this falls in-line with the strict safety guidelines put in place in his organisation, reinforced by a safety meeting which is held at the beginning of each week.

"Let me give the assurance that I head an organisation that has the largest vehicles on the roads of Barbados. Our fuel tank trucks are in excess of 50 feet long and they carry a hazardous product as we criss-cross the roads of Barbados. So I want to give the BRSA the commitment that all of us at Esso will be adhering to this pledge," he stated.
