MP hurt in fatal car crash

Barbados recorded another road fatality yesterday evening and among the injured in that accident was Member of Parliament for St. Michael South East, Hamilton Lashley.

The fatal accident occurred about 4:25 p.m. at Hanson Hill, St. George. It involved a white Explorer vehicle, driven by Mario Daniel-Hood, 29, of Eden Lodge, St. Michael and
a red Suzuki Swift, driven by the deceased, Sylvester Browne, in his early 60s of Midway Lane, the Pine, St. Michael.

Public Relations Officer of the Royal Barbados Police Force, Inspector David Welch, revealed that Browne died on the scene.

Daniel-Hood complained of leg and hip injuries and Lashley complained of injuries to the head and right hand. Both were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance.
