Pine Hill Dairy spreads joy to sick children

Ward C8 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) was filled with joy and laughter on Friday afternoon when Pine Hill Dairy (PHD) hosted their annual Christmas party for the children there.

During the festivities, Santa Claus and his helpers paid a surprise visit to the ward and presented each child with a special gift.

Henry Yearwood, Category Manager for Juice and Dairy, stated that PHD remains committed to showing its support to the paediatric ward. “It is really very important that at Christmas we have an opportunity to step into the community and show how much this company cares, and we personally feel that there is no better location to express the joy of giving.

“Our staff are always very excited to come out to assist with the party – we have persons from our warehouse, PR and archives departments joining us. Pine Hill Dairy is here to bring fun and hopefully a few chuckles and bright smiles to these young faces who are not feeling very well, or would have had some unfortunate situation that brings them into the hospital at Christmas time,” he said.

The PHD team could not resist being part of the excitement as well, and they joined performers Tamara Marshall and Derek Field who sang several Christmas carols as well as reminded the children of the true meaning of the season.
