The Bible firmly condemns all homosexual acts

Regarding the letter, See the absolute truth” by Justin Blade, 9/11/2009:
In Lewis Carroll’s “Through The Looking Glass” Humpty Dumpty exclaims: “When I use a word...it means what I choose it to mean – neither more nor less!” Increasingly this type of fairyland rationale is being employed within the real world to justify homosexuality and a culture of hedonism. Contrary to pro-homosexual advocate Justin Blade the bible firmly condemns all homosexual acts.
In no way can the words “homosexual” and “sodomy” mean anything other than disordered sexual acts they stand for. This outrageous manipulation of language is a modern ploy by the homosexual lobby to condone their evil acts. For example, at one time the word “gay” meant “cheerful” or “merry”. Today it typically refers to a person who decidedly engages in homosexual activity. Rather than condoning homosexuality Matthew 19: 12 clearly condemns this perversion of nature: Matthew states: “For some are eunuchs because they were born that way; others were made that way by men; and others have renounced marriage because of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it.” Clearly, these exceptions to the rule do not negate but rather prove the rule. Blade’s other references to the bible are equally and selectively absurd.
Also, Bailey and Pillard (1991) in no way “shows there is a strong genetic basis for homosexuality”. In fact the study proves the very opposite to be true.
Blade is right to say that Christians are called to “love one another”. He misrepresents Christianity in claiming homosexual acts are an expression of love. On the contrary they are an expression of lust.
The Laumann Report, published in 1994, is today universally recognized as definitive. In summary, its major findings are that homosexuality is not a stable trait and that it tends spontaneously to convert into heterosexuality as an individual gets older; that sexual identity is not fixed at adolescence but continues to change over the course of life and that there is no evidence for homosexuality being innate.
The Western media often portrays the homosexual lifestyle and relationships as happy, healthy, and stable. On the contrary there are very high rates of sexual promiscuity among the homosexual population with short duration of even ‘‘committed’’ relationships. Homosexuals also have very high rates of sexually transmitted infections such as HIV.
Further, many studies show much higher rates of psychiatric illness among homosexuals than among the general population. And statistics - which compare homosexuals with ethnic minorities exposed to racism – indicate this is not due to homophobia. The homosexual lifestyle is also associated with a shortened life expectancy of up to 20 years.
