Team receives Business Excellence Award for Direct Tourism Services

Following a string of successes and international certifications – including receiving Green Globe Gold award, the Business Excellence award for best company performance status in the first ever Hospitality Assured awards (H.A), its Trip Advisor certificate of excellence 2016 – Atlantis Submarines now adds another Business Excellence Award for Direct Tourism Services from the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association.

The award is judged from a field of members who have to provide evidence to show that the company provides high quality service, safety, reliability, environmental consciousness, and the ability to participate and support all aspects of the work of the association.

At a ceremony on July 23rd 2016, the company was presented the award at the biennial BHTA awards, by the sponsor Sugar Bay Barbados. The entire management team was on hand to receive it, and it was indeed a double celebration for the team, as the General Manager, Roseanne Myers, rose to the Chairmanship of the Barbados Hotel and Tourism association, which represents the first time in the organisation’s 64 year history that someone not associated with a hotel has taken on the leadership role.

A constitutional change was effected by then Chairman, Sunil Chatrani, in 2014, to make this constitutionally possible.  This represents the first time in the Caribbean region that this has been done as well.

The Atlantis Submarines team is committed to continuing its tradition of excellence by focusing on the processes that keep them strong, and learning from customer feedback and day to day challenges to forge a path forward.

Myers says of her new challenge as part of the voluntary leadership of the Barbados Hotel and Tourism association, and continuing role to lead the Atlantis Submarines Barbados team, “Good time management will become even more critical, as I balance approaches to engage all the best brains in the association and my own company responsibilities.”

Atlantis Submarines operates submarine tours in Barbados that provide the opportunity to see the underwater world in safety and comfort, and to enjoy the reef and other marine life, during the day and at night. This adventure is one of the most unique and highly recommended attractions in Barbados.
