Surprise presentation for Digicel Play’s 10000th customer

Representatives from the telecommunications company Digicel turned up at Block 2K Silver Hill, Christ Church yesterday, to make a surprise presentation to Digicel Play’s 10 000th Customer, Stacia Greenidge.
Whilst Greenidge had an idea that something was up, she expressed shock on learning that she would be walking away with a brand new Hitachi 43” flat screen television, with free viewing of 136 channels and free
broadband Internet, for a period of twelve months.
Such a service is being offered for paying customers at Bds $199 a month.
CEO of Digicel Play, Charlie Clementson told members of the media, that since the recent launch of Digicel Play in Barbados, Barbadians have been taking well to its product offerings, which include high speed broadband, television and fixed line services and Digicel Play is now available to 75 per cent of Barbadian homes.
“Customers seem to love our products. They are telling all their friends about it and we are moving really at speed, month on month, moving our way through the island,” Clementson noted.
“So really, this is all about celebrating the 10 000th customer and what we would like to do, is to offer this lovely home, free Internet broadband and TV for 12 months. Also, we are giving them a brand new flat screen 43 inch TV, some flowers and a bottle of bubbly (champagne).
“Congratulations! We are very, very proud,” Clementson said, as he made the surprise presentation to Stacia Greenidge.
Greenidge meanwhile, noted, that she had been long awaiting services from Digicel Play and was more than elated when she got the call that technicians would be coming to make the installation. She however didn’t anticipate to be a winner in the promotion.
“I never thought that I would win this, because I have never won anything in my life” a beaming Greenidge declared, as relatives looked on and took pictures on their mobile phones from the doorway of her house.
Clementson added that there is presently a special offer on the market to celebrate the 10 000th installation. The “Home Plan” as it is called, consists of 136 channels on high definition TV, two setup boxes, free recording for 12 months and 150 megabytes of extremely fast broadband.
“So really it is a full package and this is what she is going to get for twelve months for free, and anybody who wants to come in and take up that offer, can do so for the moment,” Digicel Play’s CEO remarked.
